The author, Jonathan Weng, is a licensed Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) and a dedicated volunteer at St. John Ambulance in BC, Canada, driven by a passion for public health and community well-being. He wrote this book to bridge the gap in emergency preparedness and first aid knowledge, particularly in underserved communities. By offering accessible and practical guidance, Jonathan aims to empower individuals to take proactive steps in safeguarding their health and that of those around them. His commitment to improving public health is further reflected in his decision to donate all proceeds from the book to Doctors Without Borders, supporting their vital work in delivering medical care to those in need.
